Alcatel has recently announced a bunch of smartphones at IFA 2017 and one of these phones is the Alcatel Idol 5. This new addition to the Alcatel Idol series has nothing unique to offer that makes it stand out from the rest of the phones but it is definitely something to check out as a package. To find out more about this phone and the Alcatel Idol 5 Kuwait price, keep reading.
For a budget phone, the Alcatel Idol 5 looks surprisingly good with full aluminium body and slim 7.5mm body. The glass and metal design gives the phone a premium look and there will be two different colors to look for after the Alcatel Idol 5 release date Kuwait: Metal Black and Metal Silver. The 5.2-inch screen will be showing 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and 423ppi of pixel density. It’s also easy to use this phone with just one hand and the smooth finish with nice curves help as well. The display is protected by oleophobic coating to make sure the Asahi Dragontail Glass doesn’t get scratched easily. There is also the Alcatel A7 that was released with this phone that comes with a big 4000mAh battery.
There is nothing surprising in the camera department, a 13-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. There is no LED flash included with the front facing camera. Alcatel advertised this camera in some places as a 16-megapixel camera but it’s actually a 13-megapixel rear camera interpolated to 16-megapixel. There are some cool features that are not really included in mid-range phones like real-time photo filers, EIS and Time Lapse. It’s also noteworthy that this phone supports using dual social accounts which means users can use two separate Instagram or Facebook accounts and just switch between them easily. These camera features combined with the dual social accounts feature is definitely going to attract some social media users. There is also the OnePlus 3T and Google Pixel if you are into phones with better cameras. These are slightly more expensive compared to the Alcatel Idol 5 Kuwait price.
This is where the phone fails to impress, it’s small 2800mAh battery with no fast charging technology. It will take about 3 hours and 30 minutes to charge this battery according to Alcatel which is surprising for any phone available nowadays. To make sure users get a smooth Android 7.1 Nougat experience, it’s packing a Mediatek MT6753 quad-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. There is a microSD card slot as well if 16GB built-in storage is not enough for you. If you are in the market for buying high-end phones, there is the latest Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone 7 Plus that you can check out. The Alcatel Idol 5 is already available in some places but it might take some time for the Alcatel Idol 5 release date Kuwait possibly in September or October, 2017.
The Alcatel Idol 5 will be available for around KWD 100 when it’s here. It’s already available in some places so it shouldn’t take long for the Alcatel Idol 5 to show up here.
